Must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Registered PE license preferred. 10+ years experience in progressive management of an engineering group. Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles. Implements strategic direction for the engineering department, ensuring that engineering designs and services are consistent with present and future customer needs. Stays abreast of the competition and competitive threats, and new technology, providing in-sight, recommendations, and solutions in timely manner. Conceives, analyzes, and presents new product proposals along with competitive evaluation. Sets engineering standards and specifications for products and drawings throughout organization. Ensures that product designs throughout organization meets all applicable industry codes and specification. Develops and implements ideas of continuous improvement of engineering procedures, designs and services. Ensures confidentiality and reliability of product design, codes, processes, and intellectual property.
